About Serenity Manor of Canton

We would like your loved one to feel like they belong here, like family. That is why we put our heart and soul into their care. This loving care is offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week in an elegantly warm establishment specifically designed to accommodate their needs. The home built in 2016, was designed by an ADA architect (Americans with Disabilities Act). The plan is an open concept with modern amenities and very large windows that showcase the beautiful yard and wildlife surrounding the property. The bathrooms are very large and specifically designed to accommodate wheelchair access and lift transfers.

The kitchen is large, bright and it opens into the dining room. Our home cooked meals invite our residents to live cooking shows that stimulate the senses and invite them to regularly interact with us. There are four bedrooms available. Two are equipped with two beds for seniors who prefer company. The other two are equipped with a single bed each, for those who prefer more privacy. The large deck facing the forest allows for lunches or dinners under the large market umbrella surrounded by beautiful flowers and tranquility.

Our goal is to take the burdens of worrying and stress off your hands so that you can make the best of the time you spend with your loved ones.

This includes continuous supervision, three home cooked meals a day, snacks, timely medication dispensation, assistance with the activities of daily living, constant cooperation between our staff with nurses, doctors, therapists, hospitals, home health agencies, hospice, and most importantly YOU.

We have our 24/7 responding doctors, nurses, and pharmacy that come to the house to see your love one. We try to solve most of the problems in house, however, when needed families have many options when choosing hospital care. Our home is strategically located within short distance from numerous medical centers, St. Joseph's, St. Mary's Corewell Health, and U of M Hospital.

How we got here

When we began this journey of taking care of our elderly parents, we searched for a lot in the entire South East and West Michigan. After an exhaustive three year search we finally found this beautiful peace of heaven located in the heart of Canton. As we surveyed the property surrounded by trees and fresh air, we knew it was the perfect spot for our home. It was super serene and that is how we came up with its name "Serenity". It took us about one year to find a civil engineer, architect, and builder that could design and build our beautiful home that stands here today.
